A Public Hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. in Town Hall, 201 Delaware Street, New Castle on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, to discuss Ordinance No 448, to Amend Chapter 171 of the City Code: Parades and Public Assemblies, proposing a new fee structure taking into account the status of an applicant (i.e., a non-profit group based in the City of New Castle, versus any groups that are not non-profit and/or based within the City).

Discussion to schedule a Public Hearing to consider Ordinance No. 444, amending the Zoning Code to grandfather front yard setbacks in the R-1 classification legislated non-conforming by the Amended Zoning Act of 1968. Discussion to schedule a date for a public hearing on proposed Ordinance No. 447, amending Section 166-7 of the City Code, by adding a new section under (d) Engine Compression Brakes: No Person shall operate an engine compression brake within the City of New Castle limits, with the exception of emergency situations. (Councilperson DiMondi – posted 12/29/06) – Public Hearing Scheduled for 6:45 p.m. on 2/13/07
3. Discussion, Motion and Vote on Resolution No. 2007-3, approving a grant application to be submitted to receive funds through DNREC for the Natural Resource Management and Community and Local Government Grants program. (Councilperson Churchill – posted 12/29/06) – Not Approved
4. Discussion, Motion and Vote on Resolution No. 2007-4, approving the renegotiated AFSCME Union Contract, for the term from July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2009. (Council President Blest – posted 1/5/07) – Approved
5. Discussion to schedule a date for a City Council workshop to discuss mid-year budget review. – Workshop will be scheduled once Annual Audit is received and FOIA requirements have been met
