MONDAY, APRIL 11, 2005 - 8:00 PM

President Castagno called the meeting to order at 8:00 PM and led those assembled in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Also present Janet Carlin, City Treasurer; George Freebery, City Election Committee members, Tom Maddux, Chairman Jean Swanson, Grace Elaine Hayford, Winifred Mund.

President Castagno asked Tom Maddox, Chairman of the Election Committee, to read the results of the election vote held Saturday, April 9, 2005. They were as follows:

Mr. Castagno thanked everyone who was present that served on the Committee as well as those who could not attend the meeting.

Mr. DiAngelo had a suggestion for the Committee for future elections. They should have a wheel chair at the voting place ready for those who may need one. Also, if write-in votes are not allowed to be considered as valid votes, they should not be able to be cast.

Mr. Castagno asked if there was a motion to accept the vote as read. Councilperson Miller moved to accept the votes as read and Councilperson Reese seconded it.

Councilperson Miller moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilperson Reese seconded the motion.

Mayor Klingmeyer asked if he could address the Council. He complimented the Council for the many good things it accomplished and said that he felt each one had worked for the best interest of New Castle.
